A Success in Itself
( The Criteria newspaper - IP&S section)
For those who missed last week’s official launch (Tuesday 19th August at the PWTC, Kuala Lumpur) of the third International Islamic Fair, the IIF2008, to be held in the city of Dubai (UAE), here is a run-down of what turned out to be a memorable occasion indeed:
It was, in the words of many who witnessed it, very informative and motivating! Other than the familiar “Islamic Products & Services for ALL” IIF slogan, which also accompanied IIF2006 and IIF2007 events in the last two years, this time around we have the catchy tag line “IIF Express, Kuala Lumpur-Ummah, Next stop >> Dubai” displayed on the symbolic “IIF peace train” which appears on buntings, posters, brochures, launch booklet and the event giant backdrop. Like they say, a picture paints a thousand words. Suddenly, the whole event comes out clear in its intent, its methodology and its scope.
As was the purpose of the official launch, information on the IIF2008 was generously presented in various forms and formats; through glossy brochures, booklet, audio/video and speeches. The event will be held at the city’s leading trade exhibition venue - the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from November 10th to 12th, 2008. To be jointly organised by the IIF brand owner Saba Islamic Media Sdn Bhd and one of Dubai’s leading trade exhibition organisers, Hellix Exhibition Organisation & Management (as Host Country Organiser), the three-in-one event will consist of the international trade exhibition on Islamic products and services, the international conference on issues in the Muslim world today and the “Sounds of Islam” gala dinner nasheed concert.
